Volunteering with Whitehall Dog Rescue

Volunteers are essential to the success of the Rescue and we appreciate your help no matter how much or how little time you can spare. Whilst experience with dogs is an obvious advantage, it's a great way to learn about dogs and how to handle and care for them.
Our volunteers can choose from a range of tasks including dog-walking, fund-raising and helping with the maintenance of kennels and runs. We always need help with our fundraising events. Perhaps you could help by running a stall or collecting items for us to raffle.
REMEBMER - Sponsored Dog Walk Sun 1st April 2012 1.00pm. Please see our events page for details.
Dog-Walking
All the dogs get regular exercise, normally in our 4-acre paddock, for which supervision is needed. We ask our volunteers to do a minimum session of 2 hours this is due to our busy schedule. In this time we will ask you to take dogs out on the lead for a walk. This helps to socialise the dogs and gives them some one on one tlc time with you. Please note you need to be confident with dogs in order to do this role.
Fundraising
We rely on the generosity of our supporters and the general public to help us fund our work. Some of the dogs that come to us have suffered abuse or neglect and expensive veterinary treatment is required. Some dogs remain in long term care with Whitehall. Volunteers can help raise constantly needed funds through collections and various fund-raising events.
If you feel you could help with any of the above activities, please complete our Volunteer Form. We would welcome your interest and someone will then contact you to discuss how we can work together
